We first met on CatholicMatch.com by texting each other. My father suggested I invite him to Saturday church at St. Mary's. Thinking it requires planning and at least a week to meet someone online. I decided to send the invite early in the morning Saturday, thinking he would not respond as quickly. I was busy that evening with previous arrangements with family and was not able to attend church that evening. Looking at my messages the following day I was shocked to see that he went to my church that evening. He said he was holding a sign for me and asking random people if they knew me. Of course I felt terrible and thought I blew my chances of meeting someone because of the confusion. I offered to meet him for sure the following Saturday. Hoping deep down that he would not ghost me like I accidentally did. Would you believe it he gave me another chance and showed up in his black Jeep Liberty. I was so happy and excited to see him that I gave him the biggest hug. The spark of love began there according to Anthony. We went to church and I was impressed how he knew all the prayers and was a gentlemen. After church we went to La Palmas for dinner. (This was the same building my Grandma and Grandpa Miller celebrated their 50th anniversary years before it became La Palma.) After we ordered our food I liked to go in the bathroom to wash my hands and freshen up. When I went back to the table he was not there. My heart sank thinking he bailed on me. I was about to leave when he came back with flowers pictured above. I was delighted he did not run away from me. We talked for several hours about Pokemon and video games. I was impressed by how much of the game world I did not know. I knew Pokemon from generation two, Zelda, and GTA mostly. He told me that he has Autism and his brother has it severely. From first meeting him he seemed very intelligent and able to carry a conversation. Thought to give him a chance since he did for me. I had fun talking with him overall. After dinner we went to my house to say goodnight. I went into the kitchen to get him some water because it was polite. In the kitchen he hugged me and said I love you for the first time. I was shocked because it was our first date and just met the guy. I asked him if he would like to come back over next week? He agreed and left for the night after another hug. It was not until the second date for the first kiss. The moment I told him I love you was a month later when he sent me a song by text during a difficult time with my current job. Our love has grown stronger ever since. I love you Anthony forever and always. ❤️
