It all started in the winter of 2019, two young adults mutually click "like" on Hinge and decided to go on a date. After only a few weeks and handful of dates, the world suddenly changed. Despite the worldwide lockdowns and a global pandemic, Bri and Dave kept each other in their limited social circles. Additionally, even with busy schedules Bri and Dave always found time to spend together. Dave was working at his first engineering job out of school and in the middle of finishing his Masters while Bri was just beginning her career in healthcare. Together they found creative activities to do together such as axe throwing, Devil's games, hiking, and above all eating ice cream. Even though their ice cream flavor choices could not be more opposite, it ends up working out even better since neither ever has to share :).

In 2021, Bri and Dave signed their first lease for a new apartment in downtown Somerville NJ. (Fun Fact: The couple celebrated their first Valentine's Day in Somerville at one of their favorite restaurants, Village Brewing). They quickly fell in love with the town and its atmosphere. Shortly after moving in, Bri convinced Dave one weekend to just "go look" at the new delivery of puppies at the local shelter. Little did they know that they would be scrambling to bring home their first dog (Bailey) that afternoon. While Bailey was a difficult dog to train, she quickly became the center of their world and attention. After just under a year in the apartment, the couple decided to take the next step and look for a house to call their own.

At the end of spring 2022, Bri and Dave officially closed on their new home in the same town where their relationship began. A few months later, Dave knew it was time to propose to Bri. For months following the engagement, Bri and Dave enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and each other, but for some reason still felt something was missing. During one afternoon car ride, Bri and Dave were chatting and the topic of a second dog came up. They quickly and unanimously agreed that they would like a golden retriever and that evening Bri was on the hunt online. After much research and an 8 hour roundtrip car ride, Bri and Dave welcomed home Cali.
