Can I bring someone who is not listed/addressed on the save the date or invitation?
No. If their name isn’t on the invitation, they are not invited. We do hope you can understand that our wedding venue has a small capacity limit and we cannot extend extra invites at this time. This is also a 21+ event.
Will there be parking at the beach and/or restaurant?
There is of course parking at both, but they both come with fees. The parking by the restaurant is not very close either. We rented the conch tour trolley train to transport guests to the beach and then to the restaurant after. We want everyone to have a good time and not worry about driving and parking. We ask that you take a taxi or Uber to the meet up spot. After the reception you’re welcome to tag along with us on our duval crawl or go back to your room for rest before the afternoon party.
Key West is very small and with that comes parking difficulties or expensive fees. I highly recommend taking an Uber, Lyft or local taxi.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony is outdoors at the beach. Then at the bar, it is indoor/outdoor feel.
What exactly is a tropical semi-formal dress code?
Glad you asked!! Please see the separate dress code look book page for inspiration and guidance.
Will there be an open bar?
Absolutely!!
Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding?
It is a strict unplugged ceremony, however feel free to take as many photos as you would like at the reception.
Can I wear white?
No, I ask that there is no white attire to the wedding, family rehearsal dinner night or after party. Bride will be in white for all events. Thanks for your understanding, as this is usually customary anyways.
What if I know now that I won’t be able to make it?
We know asking people to come to Key West is a lot, and on a weekday isn’t always easy to take off work. If you think you cannot attend our wedding, please let us know ASAP. We understand and of course wish you were coming, but life doesn’t always allow. We appreciate early responses if you are set on either coming or not.
Explain the day?
There will be transportation provided to the ceremony site and then to the reception site on the Conch Trolley Train, the location to get on the train will be announced when you get your wedding invitation. So you will need to uber, cab or walk to said location.
Then there will a short ceremony on the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor Beach, then it’s back on the trolley train and off to our cocktail reception at Alonzo’s Patio Bar. This is basically just a cocktail party, with appetizers, open bar and Key Lime Pie!
When it is all over, Zack and I will be starting our duval crawl, anyone is welcome to join us, or you’re free to go back to your hotel, eat, or whatever it is you want to do.
The next event is at 5 pm and that’s at Irish Kevin’s Bar, it is the after party! We hope everyone makes it! It is a long day of celebrating and drinking, pace yourselves, it’s a marathon, not a sprint.
What’s the food situation?
We will have a very short reception that is more in the style of a cocktail hour. There will be appetizers and open bar. And of course, key lime pie for dessert! When it ends, you are more than welcome to go get a bigger meal as there is plenty of time between the reception and the after party at Irish Kevin’s. Or if you’re an early riser, I highly recommend getting a quick bite at Cuban coffee queen! There are many locations on the island!
