Set deep within the White River National Forest…at the base of the stunning Gore Mountain Range is Piney Lake. And on the edge of the lake sits, Piney River Ranch.

With Aspen groves on the left bank and evergreens on the right, the whole scene is magically reflected off the water in the lake. We chose Piney for our wedding celebration because it really shows off the outdoor Colorado lifestyle we love. It is private and rustic, with amazing views and even a family of moose living across the lake!

Piney River Ranch is located at 9,350 feet (Vail is at around 8,200 feet) above sea level. Because of the high-altitude, be prepared for variations in weather and particularly a cooling of temperature when the sun goes down. Also, for those of you not accustomed to the altitude, be sure to drink a lot of water (double what you think...) this will help with the subtle dehydration that can lead to "altitude sickness".

Timing of Events:

2:15 p.m. - Guests meet in the lobby area of the Vail Cascade Resort

2:30 p.m. - shuttles depart from the Vail Cascade Resort to Piney River Ranch

4:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. - Wedding Ceremony, Dinner reception, Dancing at The Piney

8:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. - Shuttles will return guests to the Vail Cascade Resort

10:00 p.m. - continued celebration at the lobby bar at the Cascade Resort!(optional)
