Marcus and I met through two mutual friends at our local hometown bar in the Chicago suburbs (shoutout to Paulie's!). After a handful of times hanging out in the same space, we decided to go on our first solo date at a local sushi restaurant. At that time, I was in my last year of undergrad at University of Illinois and Marcus was already in the working world. We managed to keep our interest in one another through the remainder of undergrad and through graduate school and finally moved to South Carolina in 2020 to start our lives together! :) Marcus proposed to me on Christmas Eve of 2023 at the Christkindlmarket, which is a German holiday market we go to every year with my family in Chicago and one of my favorite Holiday events. Marcus and I love traveling together, trying new restaurants and spending time with family and friends. Most of all, we love being together. We can't wait to say "I do!" and celebrate with the people who mean the most to us! Cheers!
