The Story of Brooklyn And Vincent

Brooklyn and Vincent met in 2014 when they were at the same middle school, but didn’t become friends until eighth grade. After being grouped up together for a science project, the two instantly became best friends. They kept in touch all summer and carried their strong relationship into high school, where they would find out they had several classes together. While they became closer and closer, the more the teachers would have to drag them apart! They had Spanish together, joined by Frankie (Vincent’s older brother), and Brooklyn soon learned how crazy the Stevens boys were. They would hang out after school, eat lunch together, but their favorite was English class. They never had assigned seats together, yet were side by side every single day. No matter how hard their amazing teacher would try to seat them apart to subside the whispers and giggles in the classroom, they always found their way to each other. She finally gave up trying to keep them on opposite sides of the room, and let them sit in the back by themselves. Their class started reading “Romeo and Juliet”, and their teacher would often pick Brooklyn and Vincent to read the parts of Romeo and Juliet. She then assigned everyone partners and scenes to act out, and sure enough, Brooklyn and Vincent were picked to play out the balcony scene, the most romantic scene in the play.

The two would continue to be best friends, and even took their first and only trip to the principals office together! But sadly, junior year, when Brooklyn would change schools for good, the pair lost contact. It wasn’t until after they graduated and Covid begun, that they started Snapchatting each other again. Months and months of sending selfies back and forth later, Brooklyn decided to ask Vincent if he wanted to hang out sometime. They watched Harry Potter together the next day and became stuck like glue again. Except it was different this time, they were still best friends, but they both knew they wanted to spend their lives together. Vincent asked Brooklyn a couple weeks later on November 26th, 2020 to be his girlfriend.

After almost three wonderful and amazing years loving each other, Vincent proposed to Brooklyn on September 17th, 2023. They took off to Utah with their three cats the next day, and are now excited and anticipating their future together! They look forward to being able to celebrate their eternal love with their favorite people next fall!

“My bounty is as boundless as the sea,

My love as deep; the more I give to thee,

The more I have, for both are infinite”
