Carina and Kelly's journey began over two decades ago, an improbable encounter unfolding at a wedding. Amidst the matrimonial bliss of Kelly's brother, Ryan, uniting with one of Carina's cherished companions, Karen, destiny set its wheels in motion. Although the video footage captured their jubilant spirits, neither recalled crossing paths. (What a lamentable oversight!)&nbsp; Little did they know, this marked merely the prologue to a series of missed encounters that would span years. Carina and Kelly frequented the scenic shores of California's central coast, often sharing the same abode just days apart! Finally, the stars aligned, and the universe deemed it time for their destined encounter.&nbsp;Prompted by Ryan, Kelly tentatively reached out to Carina via Facebook, her heart brimming with hope. Sporadic in her social media presence, Carina remained silent. Undeterred, Ryan, resolute in his mission, urged Carina to peruse her digital profiles.&nbsp; And with that, the seed was planted, taking root swiftly. Once Kelly and Carina engaged in conversation, there was no halting their connection—aided, of course, by a memorable Brandi Carlile concert. On the auspicious Saturday of June 11th, 2022, Carina embarked on a journey to Seattle before traversing halfway across the state, eventually arriving at The Gorge Amphitheater Campgrounds where Kelly eagerly awaited her. Their love seemed ordained by the cosmos, as an exceptionally rare celestial event unfolded that night—a "Planet Parade," aligning Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn in their orbital dance! They fondly regard this phenomenon as but one of many celestial signs guiding the blossoming of their love. Prior to their union, Carina had made plans to relocate from Colorado, initially eyeing Richmond, Virginia, for her timely sojourn. However, she swiftly recalibrated her course, steering her U-Haul towards Boise, Idaho instead.&nbsp; On August 14th, 2022, Carina made her home with Kelly Richmond, in both heart and soul. From the outset, Ryan envisioned joyous family gatherings with Carina and Kelly. For Kelly, the greatest gift was Ryan's introduction to Carina. Sharing a love for healthy living, travel, outdoor pursuits, cozy moments, tea, and feline companionship, Kelly and Carina are united by a deep bond. They eagerly anticipate a lifetime of adventures together, surrounded by the love and support of cherished friends and family. Whether in person or in spirit, all are invited to join their celebration, with a livestream available for those unable to attend in person. -----(unassisted by ChatGPT - aka what we actually wrote...LOL)----- Carina and Kelly’s story started over 20 years ago, believe it or not, at a wedding. Kelly’s brother, Ryan, was marrying one of Carina’s best friends, Karen. And while video footage shows the two of them having a blast, neither of them actually remember talking to each other. (What a shame!!) Alas this was just the start of many misses that would occur for many years to come. Carina and Kelly both frequented the central coast of California - often staying in the same house just days apart!&nbsp; Finally the day arrived, like fine wine coming of age in their barrels, when the universe deemed it was time the two meet… Ryan prompted Kelly to reach out to Carina. A little dubious but also a bit hopeful, she sent her a message on Facebook. Carina, who only sparingly visits social media, didn’t respond. So Ryan, very determined at this point for the two to meet, this time gives Carina a call and nudges her to check out her social media feeds… And that was all it took for the seed quickly took root. Once Kelly and Carina actually had their first conversation, there was no stopping them. Well that and a Brandi Carlile concert… On Saturday, June 11th, 2022, Carina hopped on a plane to Seattle then bussed halfway across the state before climbing into a van that dropped her off at The Gorge Amphitheater Campgrounds where Kelly was waiting. To say their love was written in the stars would not be too far off as there also happened to be an exceedingly rare celestial event occurring that night! The galaxy hailed their meeting with a “Planet Parade” - lining up the five planets of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in their orbital order from the sun!&nbsp; They like to think of this as one of the many signs that lighted the way to the growth of their love. Prior to their meeting, Carina had already started planning to move out of Colorado and arranged to spend a good chunk of that summer in Virginia…Richmond, Virginia. Well, clearly she had misread some of the sign. But thank goodness she was able to quickly correct her course and pulled that U-Haul to Boise, Idaho instead. On August 14th, 2022, Carina moved in with Kelly…Richmond.&nbsp; Ryan had seen it the whole time: He imagined many fun family times together with Carina and Kelly together. Kelly says that the best gift he ever gave her was the introduction to Carina. Kelly and Carina share many things in common: They love healthy eating, traveling, many outdoor activities, snuggling, drinking tea, and having cats! They know that they will have a very long life of fun adventures together. They are grateful for all of their friends and family who have supported them along the way, and they look forward to celebrating with you all in person or in spirit!
