What started online quickly turned into a race... really! They met after running the Festival of Lights 5k. Andrew doesn't like to run with things in his wallet, and when he went to pay for post-run drinks, he realized he didn't have his wallet on him. To be a proper gentleman, he ran another half mile to his car and back and the rest of the night was a success.
Andrew purposefully selected 11/11 to make our “wish” come true. He secretly booked a photographer for two hours thinking it was plenty of time. Carleigh conveniently got her nails done after her morning workout and before their brunch date. Unknowingly, she was cutting into the photographer’s time by taking her time. Instead of meeting Andrew for brunch, she wanted to consolidate into one car. Then they had difficulty finding a parking spot, and she wanted to be health conscious and needed to apply sunscreen. Finally, when ordering brunch, she was indecisive and after finally making a decision, the restaurant was out of an ingredient… tick-tock, tick-tock.
An hour later, they were in place for the picnic, Andrew wanted to walk to the water, which he typically doesn’t like to do. Carleigh also noticed he was wearing flip flops when he typically wears sneakers for a beach walk. She also noticed his pocket was bulky, but she didn’t think much of it. As they turned back from the water, Andrew asked Carleigh if her wish had come true on 11/11. He then asked if she could make his come true by helping him count down:
5 – the number of years they had been dating
4 – she’s one of four sisters, but is one of a kind
3(.1) – the number of miles they ran on their first date
2 – the number of bouquets Carleigh caught while dating
1 – will she make his wish come true and be his one and only and marry him
