Will the wedding and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Both the wedding mass and reception will be held indoors.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is formal. Suits or tuxedos for men, cocktail dresses or evening wear for women.
Can I RSVP online or do I have to RSVP by mail?
Please RSVP by mailing in the RSVP card sent with your invitation.
What date must I RSVP by?
We ask that you please RSVP no later than July 28, 2024.
Is there parking at the Thayer Hotel?
Yes, self and valet parking are available at the reception venue and hotel.
Is there a block of rooms reserved?
Yes, there is a block of rooms reserved at the Thayer Hotel. Please ask for the Lahiff/Del Santo wedding. Reservations in the reserved block must be made by telephone at 800-247-5047 or 845-446-4731.
When does registration for the room block at the Thayer Hotel close?
The last day to book a room in the reserved block at the Thayer Hotel is July 25, 2024. Reservations must be made by telephone at 800-247-5047 or 845-446-4731.

What airports are near the wedding venue?
Stewart International Airport is closest, about 25 minutes from the wedding venue. For other airports, please visit the Travel section of our website.
How far is the reception venue from the wedding venue?
Travel from St. John’s in Goshen, NY to the Thayer Hotel in Highland Falls, NY is about a thirty minute drive.
Can I make hotel reservations online?
Unfortunately, reservations must be made by telephone. To reserve a room in the wedding block at the Thayer Hotel, please call 800-247-5047 or 845-446-4731 and ask for Lahiff/Del Santo wedding.
Is there parking at the ceremony venue?
Yes, there is limited parking in the St. John the Evangelist lot, located behind the church. There is also free, on-street parking along Murray Avenue.
There was no menu card in my invitation. How will I choose what to eat?
Entrees will be made to order for each guest. You will be able order the entree of your choice once seated for dinner.
Will there be vegetarian and vegan options available for dinner?
Yes, vegetarian and vegan options will be provided. Please ask your server when placing your dinner order.
When are the Hotel Thayer’s check-in and check-out times?
Check-in for the Thayer Hotel is at 4 PM. Check-out is at 11 AM.
I have a food allergy, what should I do at the reception?
If you have a food allergy, please let your server know once seated for dinner. They will make sure that your dinner fits your dietary needs.
I’d like to reserve a room at the Thayer Hotel but it is after the block rate has closed. Am I still able to book at the hotel?
As per the Thayer Hotel’s policy, room block booking closes 60 days before an event. If you wish to stay at the Thayer Hotel, you may call and schedule a reservation provided the hotel has availability.
