Lena and Chloe entered each others’ orbits long before an official launch. Their mutual friend Bill brought them together, but it would be years before they’d go on their first date together to a VIP experience of Cirque du Soleil.

Chloe first noticed Lena’s rowdiness in church basements and her popularity among her peers, while Lena didn’t notice much about Chloe because she had yet to unmute herself. Years later, when Chloe returned to California from another very successful stint in NYC, she and Lena found themselves spending a lot of time together. Chloe was close to Lena’s roommate at the time and Lena needed a reliable dog walker. They were able to build a solid foundation of friendship before their friend Greer whispered in some ears, planted some seeds, and got both Lena and Chloe thinking about each other as more than friends.

It felt unexpected, it still sometimes feels unexpected, but ever since they started going steady in March of 2018, Lena and Chloe have built something sacred. Something that Lena describes as the best adventure she’s ever been on, and that Chloe affectionately compares to summer camp.

Summer camp is where you find community. It feels like home. It’s the coziest respite from the real world, the clearest distillation of the joy of being active and adventurous and part of a team. You look forward to it, you think back fondly on it. Lena and Chloe are all these things to each other.
