We highly recommend staying on/near The Woodlands Waterway, as there are so many great restaurants, bars and shopping options all within walking distance from each other. There is also a trolley service that will take you around The Woodlands for free.
The Woodlands Waterway
You’ll find some of the top attractions in The Woodlands along The Waterway. Attend a concert at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, one of the best amphitheaters in America, and shop till you drop at The Woodlands Mall. Rent kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and swan boats at Riva Row Boat House for a peaceful afternoon on the water. Visit the sculptures and attend the many events throughout the year at Town Green Park. Restaurants on The Waterway run the gamut from seafood and steaks to Mexican and Italian—with some of the best patios in the area. Enjoy weekend brunches, daily happy hours, live music, and award-winning chefs.
Market Street
Offers luxury boutique shopping in an open-air main street atmosphere. You can explore more than 90 stores and lifestyle destinations, dine at restaurants overlooking Central Park, and even stay overnight in the on-site Hyatt Centric The Woodlands. Market Street is also home to several art installations and is within walking distance of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
Hughes Landing
Offering several dining options with patio views of Lake Woodlands, Restaurant Row at Hughes Landing also features live music during the Summer and Fall Rock the Row Concert Series. Visitors can enjoy complimentary valet service while dining and shopping along with free trolley service to the Town Center area.
Town Center Trolley
The Woodlands Town Center Trolley provides easy transportation along a 4.1-mile route connecting The Woodlands Mall, Market Street, The Woodlands Waterway, and Hughes Landing. This free transportation service gives visitors easy access to retail, entertainment, restaurants, and hotels. Multiple trolleys will be in operation at a given time, to ensure wait times are at a minimum and stay around 10 minutes.
Lake Woodlands
The Woodlands is known as an oasis on the water surrounded by the woods, and Lake Woodlands is a premier spot to experience it firsthand. This 200-acre freshwater lake offers outdoor recreation, entertainment, and dining opportunities.
The neighboring Northshore Park is a favorite spot to enjoy a picnic and free outdoor Concerts in the Park. Northshore has a playground, barbecue pits, volleyball courts, and pavilions open to visitors.
