Like so many Millennials, we swiped right.
Brian lived in Indianapolis while Christina lived in Bloomington. For many months, Brian commuted an hour to work, an hour to Christina’s apartment, and then another hour home. In short, Brian had plenty of time to contemplate Christina’s positive attributes, of which he determined were many.
In 2018, the couple cohabitated in the heart of Indianapolis. Through the following two years, the couple enjoyed an absurd volume of concerts, cocktails, and carefree days.
In 2019, on the summer solstice, they engaged to be wed.
While all our lives were turned upside, so were our merry couple’s wedding plans.
To protect the health of their loved ones, on September 21, 2020, Christina and Brian eloped in Bloomington, Indiana.
Their wedding day was different than they had ever imagined. Still, it was perfect, exactly as it should have been.
So many thoughts, so many words, so many feelings…
We named her Faith Louise. She was perfect, 7.5 lbs and 20 in. She was beautiful with long eyelashes and curly dark hair.
She was no longer of this world. She had returned to wherever spirits come, wherever they go.
The love they shared for their firstborn, and the heartbreak they shared for her death, drew Christina and Brian together. To survive such a devastating loss, they leaned on one another.
Months into the couple’s tremendous grief journey, Christina became pregnant.
This pregnancy was different then the first. Pregnancy with Faith had been so fun, so energizing. Now pregnancy was terrifying, lonely, and desperate.
In the midst of this pregnancy, the couple decided to plan a celebration, set their eyes on a joyous occasion, a sure thing.
Late 2022, Christina and Brian decided to plan this wedding.
On January 13, 2023, at 3:37pm, Liviana Joy Ventura came kicking and screaming into the couple’s open arms.
Her life has brought Christina and Brian immense joy, endless love. Each of her embraces heal her parents hearts, little by little, day by day.
Livi will make the most beautiful flower girl that there ever was in the whole world. That is a fact.
