Chris and Taryn met in 2016 in Silverdale, WA. It all started with pizza date. He ordered buffalo chicken and she ordered BBQ chicken pizza. Four hours of amazing conversation later, they both knew this was something special. Next thing you know he’s drunk telling her he loves her on their fourth date at a Kenny Chesney concert! Unfortunately, shortly after meeting each other, Chris was deployed for seven months. Since they had only been together for a few weeks, this deployment ended up being a huge test of their new relationship. Although they were halfway around the world from each other (her in Washington, him in Guam and [Redacted]), they stayed in contact through sailor mail and FaceTimed whenever his submarine was in port. When he arrived back in Seattle it was like they were never apart. They were both still madly in love with each other, so in love that they decided to move in together. Taryn and her dog Arrow came as a package deal, and they soon added Diggs to the family as well. They spent a year in Bremerton, raising their little dog family. To the surprise of both of them, Chris got orders to Naples, Italy so the four of them packed up and moved to a new continent. They joked that this was a full circle moment because their story had started with pizza and they now lived in the birthplace of that very food. Chris and Taryn spent four years exploring Europe together, relishing in each other’s career successes, and even added a fifth member to their family. They adopted an Italian trash cat and named him Gryffin (after Gryffindor not the DJ much to Chris' dismay). After four years they were ready to say goodbye to Europe move back stateside. Chris decided to get out of the Navy and got a job that brought them to Virginia Beach, VA. They have been living in Virginia for two years and are loving the area. They now spend their time baking in the sun and relaxing by the ocean where they raise their three boys and live happily together. The only thing missing is a celebration of their eight years of love with all of their friends and family. They can't with to celebrate with you all and start the next chapter of their lives.
