It all started with a click to start a conversation in an online chat room in July 2021. It was not your typical dating app or website. Quite the opposite, in fact. There were absolutely no filters or matching capabilities. So definitely was not expecting anything, but a casual chat.

Daniel was kicking back celebrating the arrival of his new nephew with his family in Kansas City, MO. While I was hanging out with friends here in TX for the weekend. As we were chatting online, we started asking about all the things: favorite color, birthday, hobbies, our love for the movie, My Cousin Vinny, etc. Well, I will never forget in our conversation when Daniel shared that he was both deaf in one ear and that his birthday was May 3, 1994. Same birthday two years apart. Obviously, the deaf thing threw me for a loop too. Needless to say, I immediately made this man send me a picture of his license and well.. 5 months later, (and a bunch of phone calls and face times) I flew up to Sandy, Utah to meet him in person.

Our first date was at the aquarium, along with a restaurant that had a meal named after our favorite actor and well, the rest is history! We stayed long distant traveling back and forth to see each other for about 10 months. Then Daniel moved to Texas October, 2022. Then on May 3, 2023, we both got the greatest birthday gift of all and Daniel popped the question in a gazebo in Carrolton, TX and I got engaged to my best friend and birthday twin. Since then it has been nothing, but the greatest adventure. From all of our dates to the first one at the aquarium, hiking in the mountains, sports events to our family trips and all of our nights in together, there is no one I would rather spend doing life with than Daniel. He's the most kindest, patient, selfless, loving man I have ever met.
