Sheldon and Daphne met in an Intermediate Statistics winter 2024 at BYU - Idaho. Sheldon sat down next to Daphne the first day of class, and decided no matter what they were going to be friends.

Late February when the seasonal depression was devastating, Daphne and Sheldon went and hiked R Mountain in 35^o F weather with gusts of wind up to 45 mph. They had Wendy's burgers and fries beforehand and the friendship was solid.

By the end of Winter semester, Daphne and Sheldon were pretty good friends. They would sit and talk for hours after their class together, to the point they needed dinner. They went to Los Albertos and got burritos the size of their heads.

The beginning of the next semester the friendship kept growing. By the end of May Daphne and Sheldon were dating. He found the fastest way to her heart (burgers).

By the end of the Spring semester Daphne and Sheldon knew they wanted to start talking seriously about getting married. Sheldon was going home for the summer, and Daphne would be staying in Rexburg to continue working before going home that fall.

Sheldon flew back to Rexburg early to drive with Daphne back to Wisconsin to meet her family. Road trips can be long and exhausting, but the 20 hour drive flew by with the great company. Sheldon went back to Rexburg to keep doing school, and Daphne stayed in Wisconsin.

Sheldon went to Arizona with friends for Thanksgiving. Daphne flew out to Arizona to surprise him. They spent the week having constant fun with their friends before having to leave.

Daphne visited Canada for the first time to visit Sheldon for Christmas break. They went on a hike with his friends where he proposed in front of frozen waterfalls. They were both slipping and sliding all over the place, but if you know them, you know it wouldn't have been perfect for them without the goofiness.

One of the things Daphne and Sheldon did in Canada was go to a Calgary Flames Hockey game. This was Daphne's first live professional sporting event.
