Back in the summer of 2020, a mutual friend and coworker playing matchmaker reached out to Mike asking if he likes girls with blonde hair from North Dakota. Apparently, that was enough to get him interested in getting Delanie's number and what would eventually lead to their first date.

The first date was nothing short of great - 5 hours of conversation and getting to know one another at The Alchemist in downtown White Bear Lake. As the last two patrons there that night past close, it was time to call it...yet neither of them knew it would be the one and only date for quite some time.

Fast forward about four months, Mike reached out to Delanie asking her to go to a MN Wild hockey game. That second date months after the first, became the start of forever. The months that followed consisted of many dates to Wild games, nights at Sporty's (The Como Tap), travels together, and game nights with friends and family, and weekend gatherings.

As Mike's and Delanie's friends and families blended, and their love for one another continued to grow, there was no doubt that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. As the beginning of summer of 2023 rolled around, Michael began to plan his proposal.

August 31st 2023, Michael asked Delanie to make their love story a lifetime as he pulled out a beautiful ring from his soccer sock - It was the easiest "yes" Delanie ever said. The celebration followed with a drink at The Alchemist and ending the night with champagne and Taco Bell on the couch with talks of planning their future.

Michael and Delanie have been so fortunate to have such support and love from their families and friends, and will be forever grateful of the journey to this point. They are beyond excited for all that is to come on their wedding day and life together as husband and wife.
