On a January night at the Tran's home (shoutout to Matron of Honor, Mackenzie, and Groomsman, Vu) Evan shocked Devin and made her laugh with his "dad costume" and barstool-riding antics.

She was intrigued by his open personality and warm brown eyes. He didn't wait a day before messaging her and asking for her phone number. A week later, Evan charmed Devin into a first date where he transformed from goofy "dad costume" wearing guy to full on Knight in a Red Dodge when he picked her up for dinner at Brenner's on the Bayou. The two couldn't stop talking and it turned into the longest first date either one of them had ever had.

How could you not go out again after a first date like that? Devin and Evan continued dating for the next two months, when he asked her to be his girlfriend officially at a lakeside wine bar the night before she was set to leave on a trip to Dubai. He says "he couldn't let any Dubai Princes steal her away."

They then continued dating for two years, doing all of their favorite things: driving out to Galveston to walk along the beach, eating (lots and lots) of El Tiempo fajitas, exploring Houston and other cities, and spending time with their family and friends.

Evan proposed in December of 2024 after an epic plane ride in Galveston, sealing the beach town as a special spot for the couple and officially starting the rest of their lives together. They can't wait for the next big moment in Galveston, with all of you in attendance - the wedding!!
