Our meeting was unexpected, but beautifully orchestrated by GOD. Weddings are magical events, filled with joy and the promise of new connections.

It was the joyous wedding day of our close friends, held in Ijebu Igbo , and both the bride and groom were dear to us.

The groom was a close friend and colleague of his, making this a day we had eagerly anticipated.

It was Thursday, September 21st, 2023 a day filled with happiness. I was busy working with as the baker, preparing the wedding cake. By 5:00 am, we were ready to head to the venue to ensure the cakes arrived on time.

However, by 5:30 am, the bus still hadn't arrived, causing frustration. When it finally arrived after 6:00 am, we were further delayed waiting for some of the groom’s friends. This added another 20 minutes to our wait.

When he finally boarded the bus, everyone, including myself, was upset. He kept apologizing for being late, and amidst our complaints, he paid a fine for the delay without hesitation. Despite the rocky start, the journey to Ijebu Igbo was lively, filled with interesting conversations.

Upon arrival, my boss and I focused on setting up the cake. After the church wedding, we moved to the reception for the celebration. While serving the cake, he engaged in a conversation with my boss about marriage, joking about being able to take care of her and her three kids.

My boss, in turn, mentioned she had someone for him, sparking curiosity.

Later, he asked for my contact information as we were about to leave for Lagos. I gave it to him, not knowing my boss and our lawyer friend had motivated him to do so.

The next day, he texted and called, but I didn't respond. After a week of persistence, my boss urged me to reply, leading to our first real conversation on September 30th.

We began talking, and he soon asked me out on a dinner date, with my boss helping me choose my outfit. Our chemistry was undeniable, and after weeks of chatting and calls, he confessed his love. He was direct and clear about his intentions—he wanted to marry me.

I was surprised and asked for time to think and pray. A few weeks later, I said yes.

Our meeting was truly orchestrated by God. Walking down the aisle with him is a dream come true, a testament to answered prayers for a God-fearing, caring, and gentle husband.

I am forever grateful for this beautiful journey that led us to each other.
