Eli and Danielle first crossed paths on February 25, 2023.

First impressions? Danielle found Eli to be incredibly funny, adventurous, and hardworking. And Eli was pleasantly surprised by Danielle's openness that made him feel at ease; he immediately wanted to be her friend. In fact, he called his best friend, Aaron, to share that he had met someone he truly wanted to be friends with.

Their friendship blossomed quickly, with Eli doing sweet gestures for Danielle, such as building garden trellises, lending her his convertible to lift her spirits, and surprising her with little gifts. It seemed their friendship was something more. Nevertheless, for the moment, they were traveling along the "friend lane."

Although Danielle valued Eli's friendship immensely, she couldn’t help but notice how perfect he seemed for her. She sought guidance from God and received the message, "Be still and know that I am God."

Fast forward to May 2024, Eli found himself on a beach—one of Danielle's favorite spots—talking to Aaron again. He expressed, "Man, I wish Danielle was here." Aaron replied, "You're in love with her." Eli dismissed the thought, insisting he missed her just as a friend.

In June 2024, Eli prayed for clarity about his future wife. God revealed to him that His plans were far greater than Eli could ever envision.

Soon after, Eli recognized his feelings of love for Danielle and he mustered the courage to ask her out on a date. Initially hesitant, Danielle was uncertain and grappled with his proposal, but deep down, she knew she needed to see where it went. Eventually, she accepted his invitation.

Thus, they swiftly transitioned from the friend lane to the path toward forever.

Over the next few weeks, Eli and Danielle stepped into this new chapter with excitement and gratitude. Their first official date beautifully mirrored the depth of their friendship—filled with laughter, shared stories, and dreams for the future. It didn’t take long for them both to realize they were going to best friends forever... as husband and wife.

Eli and Danielle continue to build their relationship on the strong foundation of God and friendship. They support each other's goals and celebrate each other's successes, finding joy in the little moments they share. Eli's thoughtful gestures and Danielle's caring nature make each day special.
