Q + A

Why San Juan Island?

Elizabeth's parents, Joe & Linda, live here in the Summer months. Over the years, it has become a special place for both of our families to visit. After searching all over the globe for the perfect destination, this one felt right. We're excited to share it with everyone who can make it.

Is there Uber/Lyft on the island?

Unfortunately not. They do have a few taxis that usually park outside of the ferry terminal, but they don't typically run late and we cannot guarantee this as a reliable option for getting around.

If we stay off-site, how will we get to the venue?

You will need to drive or arrange transportation to and from the venue. We recommend asking your hotel or Airbnb host for options they may offer.

Can we rent a car on the island?

Yes! If you are not driving onto the ferry, you can rent a car once on the island. We recommend this place- https://www.sanjuanauto.com/car-rental-friday-harbor-san-juan-island

Can we bring the kids?

Saturday is going to be an adults-only party. Kids, babies, & even dogs are welcome on Friday night if they are traveling with you.

If we are not staying on-site, can we come hangout there during the day?

Unfortunately not. Off-site guests are only allowed on the property during scheduled event times. Fortunately, there is much to explore on the island during the day!

Will there be food at the welcome party on Friday?

We will have desserts, but you should eat dinner before. See our "Things to Do" tab for our favorite restaurants!

What should we wear?

For both events, there will be walking on dirt roads and it gets chilly at night. We recommend comfortable shoes, warm clothes for the evenings, and checking the weather forecast before packing. Friday: Floral, colorful, or elevated casual attire is recommended. This event will be in a garden outside. Bring a jacket or sweater for when the sun goes down. Saturday: When we say formal, this is what the east coasters would consider "cocktail attire". For men, suits with or without tie. For women, consider uneven dirt paths when picking shoes.

We're sure you have more questions. Feel free to contact us and ask away 😊
