Elizabeth and I met on August 16, 2020, at the Pavilion on the Oklahoma Christian University campus. At the time a weekly devotional was held by all the Churches of Christ campus ministries near the university. When I arrived, I was looking for a spot to sit at and I just happened to sit next to Elizabeth. We introduced ourselves to each other and over the next few weeks we would sit and talk with each other long after the devotionals concluded. About two weeks later we started hanging out outside of the devotionals on OC’s campus. We played board games like checkers, cards, and clue. About a month after we met we went on our first date together. The date nearly lasted the entire day. We went to Blue Zoo at the mall, Barnes and Noble, and Hideaway for dinner. The rest is history and I would not have it any other way. Throughout the last few years, we have had lots of adventures with each other, our friends, and our families. We have have learned a lot from each other and about each other. There has been up and downs but even through the difficulties we have learned how to love each other even more. In October of 2023 I proposed to Elizabeth at Wheeler Park in downtown Oklahoma City. It was the most nervous I had ever been, but it was all worth it because Elizabeth said yes. I am so lucky that I get to marry my best friend.
