Radisson Blu Cesme is where the wedding will be, so we highly recommend that you stay here. It will make your life much easier post-afterparty at 3 am. We'll also have the transportation leaving from here on activity days. They have discounted rooms available for the wedding. To make a reservation, please call the number +90 232 455 45 00 and let them know you're coming for the Gulben and Hakan wedding on July 6th, 2019. Yes, they speak English, but in case you run into any trouble, let us know.

Another nice hotel in Cesme if you insist on staying at SPG despite the convenience of Radisson Blu. Sheratons in Turkey (or anywhere abroad really) are better than those in the US.

Travel & Transportation
Travel to Cesme

The closest airport to Cesme is Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB). Most common way to travel to Cesme from abroad would be to fly into Istanbul and then connect to Izmir (45 mins flight). Turkish Airlines (Star Alliance) is the main carrier in Turkey and it's known its quality despite lower prices. They have direct flights to Istanbul from JFK, SFO, LAX, ORD, BOS, IAH and MIA. For Istanbul-Izmir there some other lower cost carriers but we would recommend Pegasus and AtlasGlobal only. Probably don't consider anything beyond these three unless you want the Frontier experience.

After you land in Izmir, Cesme will be about 60 miles away. Couple of options in order of recommendation:

1) Cab - should cost you ~350TL which is about 60 bucks. Your best option since there is no Uber in Turkey anymore.

2) Havas - this is a bus company that runs shuttles at most airports in Turkey. Should be about 8-10 USD per person and take 1.5 hours. They run every two hours or so and you can access the schedule from here. They sell tickets as you board the bus (or sometime after they start driving) Just make sure you're on the Cesme shuttle and let them know which hotel you're going to. There is a chance you might have to take a cab from their station in Cesme.

3) Car rental - if you want to spend more time in Cesme (or Southwest Turkey) beyond the Thursday-Sunday we have events schedule for, it might be a good idea to rent a car. The road between the airport and Cesme is better than 99% of American roads, so you won't have a problem. Just make sure you have internet access for navigation. The airport will have most of the main agencies like Avis, Budget, Hertz etc.
