In my opinion (Hailey) I felt like him popping in and out of my life for years before we actually met in person felt like being Ted Mosby looking for the girl with the umbrella, I was smitten pretty freakin fast! When Victor helped me move into my first apartment and was so attentive and supportive I knew I was in the presence of someone so special. Our first interaction was in discord (a chat room for gamers) and began talking about music and things we both related on. Time would pass and we would talk from time to time (little did I know he had a crush on me and tried to talk to me before but I was oblivious) I was and still am a terrible liar, I was very obvious I liked him from the start meeting this tall handsome boy who is so willing to see me he drove an hour. Not long after our first real meeting we were inseparable, talking all the time on the phone just to be in the presence of your person. Driving to each other to spend more time together I got incredibly close with his family. Treating me like one of their own and making space for me was such a wonderful experience. Less than 4 months later we moved in together, through job shifts and long days we made it work. We never fight (over real things that is, if he eats my food in the fridge one more time I will body slam him like it’s WWE smackdown) with Vacations and travels we have been to more places together in the past year and a half than before. The magic happened on a fateful cruise to Alaska and Canada, we had our first solo trip to Canada together two months before he proposed in the same exact spot we had taken pictures before on the cruise. I was so shocked and surprised and here we are now, our own apartment in Lakewood with our cat Marco and lots of love and joy in our lives

(Victors pov) Hailey and I met through a friend of a friend what feels like an eternity ago. Hailey and I were in different relationships and bonded as friends over music. For a long time we would check in and chit chat here and there. My mom bought tickets for me and friend to go see a play, I thought Hailey would really enjoy it. I asked her if she’d go with me and I found out she was moving into an apartment with some of her friends so I did what anybody with a big heart would do and offered to help her move with the goal of getting the move done in time to bring her along to this play. The moment she got out of her dads truck at the apartment I knew I messed up cause I immediately felt something more than friendship for this woman but I knew she had a boyfriend so I kept the friend act going cause I knew she had a boyfriend and I was going to respect that. We ended up not going to the play and her roommate made me dinner for helping move. We talked for hours and I just kept falling more and more for this girl. I remember texting my mom that night and saying how perfect she was and I was upset that I had to be a friend. At some point I noticed she hadn’t picked up her phone at all so I asked how often she talked to her boyfriend and she said “oh like 1 to 3 times a day” I asked if she was okay with that cause I was concerned. Hailey said she was fine with it and her roommate doubled down on the question, and Hailey broke down and said “I just wish he was more like you, you’re so nice” I honestly didn’t know what to do with my self at that moment. I went home that night and cause food poisoning from some wildly undercooked pork tenderloin. After that everything just fell into place. We spent every night on the phone together and talked all day. When I finally asked her to be my girlfriend she didn’t hesitate to say yes. Not many months later my parents suggested she move in with us cause her living situation was sub par, and that she did. We knew we were meant to be from the moment we met in person. We went on several trips including our favorite spot in Victoria Canada. Where I later sealed the deal with the love of my life. I found the ring at a local jewelry store in Juno Alaska. Hailey tried it on cause she thought it was she was just gonna get a replacement for her promise ring cause it had faded and fell apart. As soon as she put that ring on her finger to try it on I knew that was more than a promise ring. I made the quick decision to sneak off after going to a few other ring shops to buy the ring. I hid it from her the entire cruise and when we hit Victoria b.c. I had my family join us for the occasion. And now we are here living together engaged and living life together.
