Our Wedding

If you've come to the "Our Story" section of our website hoping to read a classic meet-cute story, like "As Hannah and Jay simultaneously reached for the 2% milk, they locked eyes, and at that moment in the middle of the South Boston Stop &amp; Shop, time froze." well, we hate to break it to you, we met on Hinge. (For our older guests, Hinge is a dating app.) While, ultimately, an algorithm helped us meet one another, this encounter was already written in the stars. Before meeting on Hinge, we were both signed up for the same improv comedy class at the Improv Asylum in the North End of Boston. And if we are talking about fate, or the universe always working in your favor, then some higher power must have stepped in to prevent us from seeing one another attempt improv comedy for the first time. Because if that class happened, we probably would not all be gathering in The Outer Banks together. So thank you fate and thank you algorithms because the second we met for our first date on Carson Beach in June of 2020, it was always inevitable that we would be here. We've been inseparable since the beginning. Spending as much time together as possible, going on fun and adventurous trips together like The Netherlands and Norway, going on bizarre and ambitious trips together like attempting to bike from Wilmington, NC to Jacksonville, FL, our love grew strong and fast. Ultimately this bloomed into moving to North Carolina and beginning to build a beautiful life together accompanied by our crazy elderly pets Professor Stinkpot, Lucky, Mia, and Kit Kat. A huge part of our story is all of the incredible people in both of our lives and we are so excited and fortunate to bring you all together to experience this beautiful celebration of our love.

Don't let the extensive loafer collection, Nick Saban's demeanor, or stiff posture fool you.  Fritz has a huge heart, can make friends with anyone, and is a walking good time.

The bird dog, Delta Airlines groupee, and pilates king. Underneath Carl's very regimented skin routine, lies one of the most caring and loyal guys on the planet.

Like a walking stereotype for his motherland of Canada, Burch is one of the sweetest and weirdest guys you'll ever meet. Burch has never met a stranger and is the life of the party everywhere he goes.

Deadhead, the reincarnation of Cy Young, and my little brother Sunshine is an all time great guy. Max is someone who could talk to a wall for 5 hours and probably even make the wall laugh a few times.

A Texan's Texan, father figure, and a Spotify playlist maestro. Nathan is as perfect of a human as his beard and as sweet as his three old bloodhounds, so we all need to join together to ensure that he stays up past 10pm. 

Nathan Friedman

The songbird of a generation, karate chop king, and concerningly involved cat dad. Mike is truly one of a kind. He is a walking good time who can become fast friends with anyone.    Ironically for a guy named Mike, he may be the first person to lose karaoke 'mic' privileges to avoid scaring the grandmas with his rendition of a Korn song. 

Mike Frizzell

A true badass. Growing up Kate was the only girl on the boys' wrestling team and an enforcer on the Lacrosse field, pummeling poor, unsuspecting girls on the opposing team. Now, after commandeering Jay's home office for a year, she is saving people's beloved pets as a vet tech. Her care for animals is indicative of what a caring and loyal sister and friend she is.

Kate Quinlan

The people's spirit guide. As someone who talks over the phone with a random 50 year old psychic (who is also Hannah's psychic), who is allegedly tapped into the spirit world, combined with being one of our favorite people in the world, Mikaela was the obvious choice to be our officiant.

A crab rangoon connoisseur and the best planner on this side of the Mississippi. Jordan cares about her friends about as much as the Ravens and Orioles.  As a harbinger for bad luck, we may have Jordan dial into the wedding via Zoom, but if not, she is sure to be the life of the party.

Jordan Wilson

Afraid of birds, fish, and getting too much sun - Tanisha may be dialing into our wedding with Jordan. Kidding aside, Tan is the ultimate confidante, travel buddy, restaurant date (and critic), and best friend a girl can ask for.

This Puerto Rican firecracker may be 4'10, but her personality is 10 feet tall. If you're looking for someone to get the party started, pillage the local Trader Joe's, co-parent a cat, or watch movies over a steak in bed, Sasha is your girl. 

Sasha Nieves

The most neurotic planner in continental Europe, combined with being Hannah's cousin/longest standing friend, it's hard to tell if this wedding was created out of free will, or simply another pit stop on Mia's meticulously planned road map for having two little Dutch babies. Regardless, we are all luckier for having Mia join us for our wedding week from across the pond.

An Irish citizen, a Jersey girl, and someone fluent in Spanish walk into a wedding...There is no butt to this joke, it is just the only way I could think to describe how dynamic of a human being Michaela is. If you read a book on the plane ride down and are dying to dissect it with someone, or are looking for someone to ensure you that everything is going to be okay, you may want to seek her out at the wedding.

At some point over the weekend, probably as the night winds down and Katelyn's second cigar turns to ashes, someone will suggest Cook Out. What out of towners won't realize is that to order Cook Out you need someone like Katelyn to translate these modern day hieroglyphics (their menu), someone who is extremely intelligent, well traveled, and a North Carolina native who has tried almost all of their 54,000  different tray combinations.

Spawning from a marsh in Sandwich, MA, Marcelle is guaranteed to be one of the most interesting and funniest people you will meet in your life. She is pretty much a Swiss Army Knife of a human being.. if Swiss Army Knives helped you construct ill-advised parlays, helped find homes for foster animals, and told unbelievably entertaining stories.

The wiener dog queen, holistic health guru, and so good at Jeopardy that if there was a spectrum of trivia show abilities she'd be on the far end of it. Zoe is sure to bring the noise and energy this weekend and really light up the dance floor.

If you are planning on flying to our wedding, we recommend flying to Norfolk International Airport (ORF) in Norfolk, Virginia. Accomodations

The Hampton Inn &amp; Suites Outer Banks / Corolla is approximately a 1-minute walk from our venue. The two share a parking lot, so we highly recommend reserving a room here. The hotel does not offer a formal hotel block. That said, our guests will receive 15% off for their stay. To receive the discounted rate you will need to contact the hotel&nbsp;directly at 252.453.6565&nbsp;and reference the&nbsp;Quinlan/Domitrz Wedding. We recommend booking the hotel sooner rather than later, so you can take advantage of the convenient location and special discount.

Corolla is known for surfing, so if you are interested you can rent a board, or take lessons through any of the vendors below.
