What is the best way to get to Corolla?
The Outer Banks are pretty remote. If you aren't driving directly to Corolla, we recommend flying into Norfolk International (ORF). Norfolk, the closest airport, offers several shuttle services (highlighted in the "Travel" tab) and rental car options.
What is the dress code?
For the ceremony the dress code is Colorful Semi-Formal.
Men: A suit or a long-sleeved dress shirt with a jacket and slacks.
Women: Cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or blazers and dress pants.
Make it colorful, if you can!
The Welcome Party on Thursday evening and the Seafood Boil on Saturday are casual.
We recommend bringing a swimsuit or two as we are on the beach and have a heated pool and a few jacuzzis.
Will transportation be provided?
No. Transportation is not necessary if you are staying at the Hampton Inn (found in the "Travel" tab), as it shares a parking lot with the venue.
If you are staying in an Airbnb or somewhere other than the Hampton Inn in Corolla, we recommend having a car, as Ubers/taxis in Corolla are few and far between.
Where is the wedding venue located?
All of the weekend festivities will take place at the Pine Island Lodge. 345 Audubon Dr, Corolla, NC 27927. Parking will be available at the venue.
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will take place indoors. If the weather does not cooperate, all events will take place indoors.
What type of food will be served?
During the reception, we will be serving BBQ at the reception. We will have numerous options including sliced brisket, pulled BBQ chicken, mac and cheese, coleslaw, potato salad, hushpuppies, and garden salad.
Saturday we will be doing a seafood boil at the Pine Lodge pool.
If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies please let us know.
Will there be an open bar?
Of course.
What is the best way to contact you if I have additional questions?
