It all began in 2017 when Holly took a leap of faith and moved to the Midwest to accept a job in Columbus, Ohio. At the same time, Justin was graduating from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and relocating to Columbus for a role at the same company.

Justin was looking to create a social circle in Columbus, and although they were in separate departments, he hoped that he could get to know Holly and her work friends.

Justin asked Holly's friend Rachel if she would introduce him to her. Charmed by Justin's positive and outgoing personality, Holly decided to befriend Justin in hopes of getting to know him better.

Justin and Holly continued their friendship, growing day by day. Then one day, Justin offered to help Holly move into her apartment. Holly was impressed and took him up on the offer. The weekend of Holly’s move finally arrived, and Justin dedicated the entire day to helping Holly and her friends. As the sun set on a long day, Holly took Justin and her friends to dinner and drinks as a thank you. It was at this time that Holly started to consider the possibility of Justin becoming more than just a friend. Unbeknownst to her, Justin was also growing a fondness for Holly.

In the following weeks, Justin and Holly spent more time together hanging out at the pool, going on runs, and cooking meals. On October 27th, 2019, Justin took Holly out to dinner and a Broadway show and officially asked Holly to be his girlfriend.

From hiking Hocking Hills, to hitting the slopes of Aspen, to soaking up the sun in Hawaii, and celebrating holidays side-by-side, Holly and Justin made many memories together as their relationship grew stronger.

In 2022, Justin and Holly got Pebbles, a shih-tzu puppy. Raising a puppy was fun and challenging work they did together. Pebbles continues to bring joy into their lives daily.

The time had come that Justin knew he was ready to propose. Justin asked Holly’s parents for permission and he made a plan. On April 7th, 2023, Justin planned a surprise proposal in Holly’s hometown of Savannah, Georgia, with all the family in attendance. Holly was hoping this moment was coming and had a slight suspicion, but the surprise went off without a hitch, and Holly said, "YES!"

As this chapter draws to a close, it marks not the end but the beginning of the next one—the start of Holly and Justin's lifelong adventure side-by-side. Filled with excitement, they can hardly wait to kick off the next chapter surrounded by their dearest friends and loved ones.
