It all started in February 2023 when Jackie's mom, Stephanie, and Alex's friend/co-worker, Sarah, decided to play a little bit of matchmaker. Sarah and Stephanie had met through Frisco Bible Church and realized they each had a single friend (and daughter) who might be a match for each other. Jackie and Alex each received a picture of the other and a little info. Not long after, Alex texted Jackie and they met for coffee at Duino Coffee in McKinney, TX.

As they continued to date they started to fall in love. They had conversations about their faith, got to travel with each other and met and grew to love each other's family and friends as well.

On January 20, 2024, Alex had a "casual surprise" date planned for Jackie. The morning started at a coffee shop and from there they went to Chick Fil A. The big surprise was a plane ride from a local airport in McKinney! Alex and Jackie boarded the plane, with Pilot John- one of Alex's friends from church. They flew over McKinney and Prosper all the way to Gainesville. Where Alex had a proposal set up waiting. Alex got down on one knee and asked Jackie to marry him, and she said YES!

The couple got to celebrate their engagement with several friends and family and are looking to celebrate their wedding with even more friends and family in July!
