Thank you for joining us in celebrating our marriage! We planned at least one activity each day and then loaded the "Things To Do" and "Travel" tabs with as many activities and places as we could for you and your families. We can't wait to see you!

Our Story

It's a tale old as time, really.

Man falls in love with boss. Boss rebuffs advances. Man knows boss will eventually come around. Boss falls in love with man. Man gloats about being right. Boss proposes to man. They live happily ever-after.

Okay, this might be a bit of an oversimplification, even if mostly true. What makes our story and our relationship so special is the circumstance we both started from.

I was at a point in my life where I very much wanted to be married and have a family, but I had decided maybe it just wasn't for me (read: I was old). Jess had sworn off marriage for, well, her whole life (read: she loved to piss off the patriarchy).

But, when we found each other, we both just kind of knew. It wasn't a matter of if we would get married but when.

August 2025 in Lakeside will be a celebration of one year of our marriage with some of our best friends and people that helped us get to where we are. We love you all and can't wait to share our love and our celebration with you!

*Record Scratch, Freeze Frame* Yep, that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation...

In so many ways, this has been a rollercoaster romance. It has all the plot twists for a so-bad-it's-good Hallmark movie: Two people from very different backgrounds who fall in love at work and have to act like they aren't completely smitten...all while living across the country from one another.

Like, you're not even ready for the ending of this movie. Girl stops ranting about organized religion and antiquated traditions long enough to see the true meaning of marriage AND PROPOSES to the man who changed her mind.

10/10

No notes

It is so impossibly cheesy and I would be watching it on repeat if I wasn't so busy living it.

Now all I want to do is celebrate the greatest gift in my life with everyone I love most! Bringing together our chosen families means the world to us and we cannot wait to meet you in Montana!

p.s. Hi Matt! Thanks for marrying me!! You're my favorite person.
