What time should I show up?
It would be greatly appreciated if everyone showed up at 3:30-3:45 for our 4:00 ceremony. If for some reason you show up late please stand off to the side so you not disturb the wedding.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
This will be a kid free wedding. All children 16 and under are not allowed. If you have a child over 16 that you would like to attend and was not on your invitation, reach out to Jessica or Takeem and we can see if there is room to add anyone.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Due to limited capacity at our venue and budgetary restriction we have had to be selective on who gets plus ones. However, if you would like to bring someone and did not receive a plus one let Jessica or Takeem know and they can see if there is room to add anyone else.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is cocktail attire. Ladies, cocktail attire is mid to full length dressed. If you don't feel comfortable in a dress, than you can wear a nice skirt, slacks, and a nice blouse. Also, our wedding colors are pinks, greens, and neutrals if you want to coordinate with the color scheme. Gentlemen, cocktail attire is nice slacks, a button down shirt, and a jacket. If you do not want to wear a jacket you do not have to.
What will the menu be?
For dinner there will be a pasta bar provided by Jessica and Takeem's favorite Italian restaurant, Portobellos. This will feature 3-4 different Italian pasta dishes, salads, and Garlic rolls. For dessert, we will be offering an ice cream bar, as well as cup cakes for everyone to enjoy.
If you have dietary restrictions there will be no accommodations due to the limited menu.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, there will be an open bar. However, our venue does not allow any hard liquor. We will beer serving beer, wine, and seltzers.
Are you registering for any gifts?
We are doing a cash fund instead of physical gifts. There is a link in the registry section of the website that should take you there.
Will transportation be provided to the guest by the bride and groom?
Unfortunately, due to budgetary restrictions the bride and groom will not be providing transportation to and from the venue.
What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?
There are minimal Ubers in this area in TN, so I would car pool with someone to get to and from. If you need rides and do not know anyone to car pool with contact Jessica and she will set something up for you.
Will parking be available at the venue?
There is ample parking for everyone, as well as, people directing you on where to park.
Is this an indoor or an outdoor venue?
This venue is both indoor and outdoor. We will be having the ceremony outside, but the dinner will be held indoors. However, the dancing portion of the evening will be held outdoors on their patio.
What is the weather like in that area?
For our out of towners, the weather is typically somewhere between 75-80 degrees and humid. So I would dress for pretty warm weather.
How should I dress for the big day?
It will be mid to late spring in TN so it should be relatively warm. It may get cold at night so if you want to bring a jacket I would recommend that.
Is there going to be an after party?
There will not be an official after party. However, the we will be going out in downtown Johnson City after the reception is over. We will be going bar hopping. Details will be provided at the end of the reception.
Will there be a time gap between the ceremony and reception.
There will be a minimal time gap between the ceremony and the reception. Jessica and Takeem will be taking their last few photos which should leave just enough time for people to find there seats and get a drink.
Will there be other events added onto the wedding weekend?
The wedding is the only event being held that weekend.
Is this going to be an unplugged ceremony?
We will have a phone free ceremony. We are going to request that all phone be put away during our ceremony so no ones view is obstructed. We are having professional photographer and videographer take pictures and videos during the ceremony.
Can I post photos of the reception?
Of course you can! We will not be upset if you post before us. Also, we will have a QR code on all the tables for you to scan that will allow you to photo share so we can see all the fun photos and videos taken on our big day. As far as social media, you can post whatever you want on the day of and we will be using "#youngandinlove" as our wedding hashtag to see all the pictures.

No our wedding will not be live streamed.
