It feels surreal that our story began 9 years ago. We were both in college and new to the outside world, having been raised by strict parents that locked us in our rooms (we appreciate it now though). And just like all young adults with strict Latino parents, we had to move in a stealthy manner to be able to go out and date. If it had not been for Hibris stealing her mother’s car to make it out that night, we would have not found each other and fallen in love. She later paid for that risky move when she returned home after our Escape Halloween Cinderella story by taking some chingadazos from the broom. However, she was blessed by a good omen. The broom that broke that day represents a symbol for both of us being swept off our feet. I am honestly so lucky to have found my soulmate and best friend. We did not expect to fall for each other being so young and guarded to make a commitment, but every laugh, cry, kiss, and disagreement was a testament of love. There is not a day that goes by where I do not appreciate all of the memories and laughs, we have shared, and I cannot wait to start the rest of my life with you. I love you so much and I cannot imagine not having you by my side. Here is to forever my love.

My story will be short and sweet... that night sparked something neither of us expected, and now, almost a decade later, I am about to marry the man I met in the most unexpected way. I do not regret stealing my mom's car, I would do it 100 times more if it means I get to see him for the first time again and again. I hope I get lucky enough to meet him in every lifetime and in every universe. They say true love is rare, I guess we are the lucky ones. I have found a best friend and a confidant, someone who is loving, funny (not as funny as me), and sweet. I cannot wait for this new chapter and create more memories with you.
