Joann and Chris met the modern way, on a dating website. Their first date was in July of 2019 , but Joann wasn’t ready yet, so she decided to "friend zone " Chris. Being the great respectable guy he is, Chris honored her boundaries. In the months that followed, they continued to stay in touch. Little did either of them know that this was actually the beginning of an incredible, beautiful and very special friendship. ﻿Then, in October of that same year, they decided to spend the day together in one of their favorite places, Carmel, CA. They both love the beach...the sound of the waves crashing against the rocky shore and the sight of the&nbsp;beautiful water.&nbsp;Following that day, Joann started introducing Chris to her family and friends, but remember, they were still just friends. Everyone that met Chris told Joann that he was the perfect partner for her. It was obvious to them that Chris was already in love with her. As November rolled into December, Joann realized that she was falling in love with him too, and they've been together ever since.&nbsp; &nbsp;Joann and Chris already have many memories together: time with family and friends, beach excursions, bike rides, board games, traveling&nbsp;to close coastal towns, vacation in Yellowstone and a trip to Hawaii last summer. &nbsp;On their last day in Maui, while walking on the beach, Chris got down on one knee and proposed to Joann.&nbsp;It was a magical moment...lots of love, laughter, happy tears, and hugs.&nbsp;&nbsp; We're so excited for you to join us as we say "I do" at a special place to our hearts, Carmel, California,&nbsp;on April 8, 2023.&nbsp;See you soon!
