We met through Fill the Stadium, a concert with a gospel mission at the University of Oklahoma in 2023. We were also attending the same church, Antioch Norman (our church home!), so we kinda knew each other because of similar circles but never talked much. That same summer, we were in Italy at the same time, where we spoke for 45 seconds -- enough time for a BeReal we're forever thankful for lol

God's work at OU (and our good friend Josh Rob) recruited us once again to put together Fill the Soval, a worship night at the heart of OU to awaken the lukewarm to get on fire for Jesus!!!! This was the first time we talked since Italy. WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT WE'D BE HERE NOW?!!?!!?!

After 5 weeks of Josiah raising $25,000, Malu managing a media team (which really stressed Josiah out), and an insane team of students putting this together, Fill the Soval finally arrived. We'll never forget worshipping with our friends and strangers as Tanae F and Brenan J called everyone out (lol, pretty sick) and the presence of God rested on our campus. We became friends during the planning; we were joking around and leading together -- living our dream without noticing it !!! By the end of the night, we individually had moments of realizing we didn't want to stop hanging out :')

Our first date!!!!! Things happened really fast lol After FTS/Thanksgiving, we hung out every day! Christmas lights was a Hallmark movie :') The next two days were dedicated to meeting each others' families. The Andrades all sat around the living room, asked Josiah what his intentions were, and one by one told Josiah why Malu is special and should be taken care of (it was giving "asking for her hand" lol but it was sweet). With the Medinas, it was a lot more chill hahaha a post-church lunch where Malu and Luz bonded over coffee, chocolate, and Old Navy while Jorge made his usual jokes ;)

Waited for the end of finals week to officially start dating LOL Josiah picked Malu up at 6am (rip), but it was for a great cause. We had bagels (Malu's favorite) (rip main st bagels) and drove to Scissortail Park where we watched the sunrise together, and then had an actual breakfast at Harvey's (also Malu's favorite ha) :')) after all the all-nighters we pulled that week, we passed all our classes and started winter break DATING! S2

We had our own little Christmas :') Josiah got a lego set for the first time in a while; Malu got a dream camcorder that she immediately started using to record our whole day. We made pancakes, eggs, bacon, hot chocolate, and tried watching a Christmas movie BUT got distracted by Josiah casually mentioned us being together forever HA. As the basic christian girls say - when you know, you know!

WE GOT ENGAGED IN KANSAS CITY!!!!!! Josiah was gonna take Malu on a fake date in the morning before meeting up with out friends Josh and Cody. What Malu didn't know is that Josh had brought the ring from Norman, Cody and him had been vlogging all morning, and Britt Jo was waiting to take photos at Loose Park. Josiah thought about every single detail, and Malu did not suspect a thing at all. We "made a stop before meeting up with the guys," stopped in front of the fountain, and Josiah got on a knee! We spent the rest of the day at an art museum and Union Station before heading to dinner where both of our families were waiting to surprise Malu. BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!!!
