I’ll start where it all began…Amazon CVG5. The only good thing to truly come out of Amazon. Anyone who knows me knows I’m very quiet and timid until I get to know you and I never go out of my way to talk to anyone but this particular day was different. A few weeks before thanksgiving 2021 I was stationed on super chutes with my friend at the time and on the other side of the super chute was this guy in a black hoodie and had his hood up. Wouldn’t talk or make eye contact at all. A few days go by and I’m back in my “home turf” of flat sort. My job that day was to take pallets of yellow totes to all the lines and super chutes. I happened to see the guy I was working with a few days in advance and saw he still seemed gloomy. I purposely made sure I got the work of taking the totes to where he was working and did something I never normally do. I walk over and instantly go, well well well if it isn’t Mr. Super Chutes. (He always worked super chutes) lol he finally looked up at me and smiled. I FINALLY made a break through. So I made a couple other corny jokes and then went on with my job duties. Each time I went back I’d make as many corny jokes as I could just to see him smile again. A couple days before thanksgiving 2021, I was in flat sort where I typically worked and lo and behold guess who came walking my way!? Mr Super Chute himself and I’ll never forget this because it makes me laugh, he goes I never got your name. Mines Lucas not Luke. I smiled and go mines Kali (Kaylee) not Cali 😂. After that we’ve been inseparable. He was the first to text me happy thanksgiving and merry Christmas that year. I couldn’t believe this blue eyed Mr Super Chute even wanted to know me. I also couldn’t believe I left my comfort zone and made the first move to try and make this guy smile any chance I could. That’s out of character for me but I’m so glad I did. Now this blue eyed man wants to marry me. ME!? Some days I still can’t believe someone as handsome as him loves someone like me. Even on days where we may not like each other because we are stressed and having a bad day, we both truly love each other and I truly believe we met the way we did for a reason. We truly are meant for each other and went through hard times to make it to each other for a reason. I don’t see a life where Lucas isn’t in it with me and our babies (Sky, Diesel and Mercury). If someone had told me years ago that I’d be marrying my best friend, I wouldn’t have believed them. I never thought this day would ever actually come but here we are and I couldn’t be happier. With me having cystic fibrosis and before meeting Lucas, my lung function was getting pretty low. 62% which was scary but now after being with Lucas they are at 85%. It goes to show a happy life with someone you love and know for a fact they love you back and want to be with you, can turn any bad problems better. I love you Lucas and I cannot wait to be your wife 💕
