While we do have events planned throughout the weekend, you all will have plenty of time to explore the city on your own. Below are some recommendations, but feel free to do some research on your own too!
The walled city is beautiful. Kars and I spent hours walking the streets taking pictures. Here you will find a bunch of shops and boutiques alongside restaurants and coffee shops. We recommend starting your stroll at Cafe Del Mar.
For those who want a bit more structure to their stroll, there are a number of free walking tours available. These tours are an amazing and quick way to learn more about the city during your short stay. Feel free to 'Google' to learn about other available walking tours.
One of the coolest places to get a drink and some food. There are three floors with different atmospheres.

This rooftop bar is a little bit more chill. It is great for grabbing a drink and hanging out. The views from the northern end of the old city are unmatched.

Salsa Bar in Getsemaní! Great place to listen to live music and learn how to salsa.
This was an old theatre that has been transformed into a mall. It is located in the northeast portion of the old city. There are a lot of cool stores.
Cafe Del Mar is at the edge of the walled city. It has a panorama view of the Caribbean. Great spot for pictures.
This is the most famous landmark in Cartagena, and it’s pretty hard to miss. Climb and explore the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas (San Felipe de Barajas Castle) in the early morning or late afternoon to explore the maze-like tunnels and watch the sun sink behind the rampart walls.
This magnificent fortress built from 1656-1769, is proof that the pirates of the Caribbean did exist. Some 300 years ago, the city repelled attacks of French and English pirates from this castle's massive stone and coral walls.
