Our story began almost 10 years ago… Keeling and Sarah were introduced to one another through mutual friends. They spent a few years continuing to run into one another, until New Year’s Eve 2015. The excitement in the air that night, coupled with a few champagne toasts, had both of us excited for a potential future together…


In the early years, Keeling was finishing his degree at the University of Michigan and Sarah was finishing hers at Eastern Michigan University. We were both ready for the future and excited to see what it held for us. It wouldn’t take long for both of us to start our careers, both at University of Michigan. While Ann Arbor had been Keeling’s home since he started college, Sarah quickly grew to know and love it as her own, coming from only 20 minutes away in South Lyon. 


As we began growing together and building our lives together, it was clear that we had found the person we wanted to marry. Keeling proposed on December 3rd, 2022 under the glowing lights of the biggest Christmas Tree in downtown South Lyon at the tree lighting ceremony. With 1 second to go, he got down on one knee, and while the crowd cheered for the tree, it felt like they were cheering for us!  We hope that you are able to join us in November to celebrate our next step in this journey together.
