Our Story

His smile was so big, he was so polite, and I thought he was the cutest. John came tanning at my work the first time we met. We were laughing because after searching for him in the system, his name was listed as Joao, not John. I couldn't pronounce his name, first or last which made us laugh even more. John headed over to the waiting area as I was cleaning the tanning bed. I overheard my friend asking him if he was single, as she was telling him that I was. I listened to the conversation so carefully, as I felt embarrassed, but intrigued. He said "yeah I'm single, your friend is beautiful." I melted, but I was to shy to go back out there. I avoided him for the rest of the visit because I felt like I was awkward in flirtatious situations.

A week or two passes, and I'm having some drinks with my friends at Rose Alley, a bar I would normally go to. Im sitting at a table, and I look over at the stairs, we lock eyes at the same time, and then he smiled as he made his way over. Quickly we realized it was fate. Having grown up in the same neighborhood, and most friends were mutual, but we had never met we knew this was special. We know that sometimes our lives have to be completely shaken up, changed, & rearranged to relocate us to the place we're meant to be. The rest is history.
