It all began in the summer of 2017 when Kensley’s cousin, Sabryna, decided to play matchmaker. On the 4th of July, Kensley and Kyle met for the first time, and sparks flew instantly (Taylor Swift reference, of course). They spent the day together, watching the local parade, wandering through the park, and ending the evening with fireworks.

Their connection was undeniable, and soon they went on their first official date at Dobbins Landing, a place that quickly became special to both of them. After a few more dates, they made it official on August 6, 2017. At the time, Kensley was about to start her junior year of high school, and Kyle was entering his senior year. Even though they went to different schools, they always found ways to be together.

When Kyle’s senior year ended, he headed off to Point Park University in PIttsburgh, which happened to be Kensley’s dream school too. Being apart was tough, but Kyle would visit Kensley often. When Kensley’s senior year flew by, she joined Kyle at Point Park. Kyle pursued Sports Management, and Kensley studied Multimedia, supporting each other through every goal and opportunity.

They both worked at the PPG Ice Rink, where they made great friends and created lasting memories. Kyle even stayed an extra year to be with Kensley until she graduated.

In 2023, they moved back to Erie and began their career search. Kensley supports local nonprofits at The Nonprofit Partnership, while Kyle sells tickets with the Erie SeaWolves baseball team.

In January 2024 they adopted their fur baby, Ash Semple-Anderson, from the Erie Humane Society. That same weekend, Kyle proposed to Kensley, and she of course said yes (it had only been almost seven years!).

Now, they are planning their dream wedding and enjoying every moment with their little pup, Ash. They can't wait to start this new chapter together!
