We started dating in 8th grade December 9th, 2016. We have been together all throughout high school. We have been best friends ever since and we couldn’t imagine a world without each other. When we ere young, we have always joked about getting married, but we also knew it was going to happen one day - so we said why not.

Fun Fact: We are actually Middle school sweethearts (got together in 8th grade).

And although we know it is best to focus on our education before we start our life together, we are both working and obtaining higher education. Kiara is a few classes away from obtaining an associates degree from Delta College in Early Childhood Education. Kiara will transfer to Central Michigan University (CMU) for a bachelors in Early Childhood Education to be a preschool teacher. Both James and Kiara are working: Kiara is a Paraprofessional Substitute Teacher at Carpenter Pre-Primary Preschool (Midland) working part time, while James is working full time at Dow Gardens as a Grounds Keeper. James is planning to continue college once Kiara is done with her degree.
