Im sure both of us would tell the story differently...


On September 10th, 2020 Cameron messaged Kimberlyn for the first time. We talked back and forth for a few weeks and then it slowly fizzled out. Every once and awhile Cameron would try to talk to Kimberlyn but she didnt seem very interested. Cameron swore to himself when he went to the police academy in February 2021, that he did not want to commit to a relationship. Some would call it fate, but Kimberlyn decided to reach out to Cameron one more time. (I just had a feeling that I needed to try things out with this guy!) They began messaging back and forth all day, every day in January 2021. On April 10th, 2021 Cameron officially asked Kimberlyn to be his girlfriend. From there it is a blur!


Cameron proposed to Kimberlyn on Christmas Eve 2023 on their family vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Of course she said yes!


Together we have accomplished so much. We have gone through graduations, moving in together, getting a dog and a few cats, and the best moment in our timeline was the birth of our son, Cason Kenneth Slagle. In any lifetime, we know we would choose each other again and again. We thank our family and friends for continuing to support us in our relationship and being amazing examples of what true love looks like.
