Lets take it back to 2016.


Krissy is living in Chicago and John is in Pittsburgh. Krissys best friend Kristen asks if she wants to go to Atlantic City for Labor Day weekend. Without thinking much of it, she says yes and hops on a flight a few days later. This turns out to be where she will meet her future husband.


After this weekend, the girls and the guys from the trip went from strangers to best friends. A few months later they had the crazy idea to go on Yacht Week in Greece. Fast forward several months to June 2017 and John + Krissy along with 9 of their closest friends were sailing around the Greek Islands together having the time of their lives.


Greece truly became such a special place for John and Krissy after this trip. Even though it took a few years after the trip for them to actually date, this is the place they became best friends.


Theres been a lot of changes over the 8 years since this trip of a lifetime. Krissy moved back to Pittsburgh. Krissy and John started dating in 2020. They bought a house in Mount Washington in 2022. They adopted their dog Myko (named for the Greek Island Mykonos) in 2023 who lives the life of luxury with his kitty sisters Kazi and Ellie.


Then that same friend that brought Krissy to Atlantic City all those years ago now helped to plan a couples ski trip to Breckenridge, CO for New Years. On December 30, 2023, John got down on one knee mid-ski day on the top of the mountain and asked Krissy to marry him. She obviously said yes.


When thinking of where they wanted to get married, it seemed like a no brainer.
