Like many modern-day romances, our story began in an online dating app. Our first conversation somehow turned into a phone call that lasted for hours; and we quickly discovered just how naturally we could talk to each other! Despite our very different backgrounds - a boy from Brooklyn and a girl from Kansas - we bonded over our shared love of thought-provoking discussions and a unique sense of humor. It wasn’t long before we were almost inseparable.
We both expressed time and again to each other what peace we finally felt being together. The puzzle pieces just… fit. Every heart-to-heart conversation made us both realize.. this is it. This is the kind of relationship we only dreamt of before, and we wanted it to be forever. So, when Nick finally got down on one knee to pop the question, it was an easy (and joyful) YES!
We tied the knot in a small ceremony in April 2025, surrounded by our immediate family members on a beautiful spring morning. We decided to get married only a month after being engaged, as Nick's mom, Jean Marie, had been recently diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, and we wanted to make sure she was part of our special day. It meant so much to us that she was able to be part of the ceremony, a memory we’ll forever hold close to our hearts. She passed a few months later in July after a tough battle, but we continue to honor her legacy by celebrating the love we share now. Both of our parents, each with marriages each lasting 30+ years, have set incredible examples for us to follow in their footsteps of true and lasting love, commitment, and dedication.
We are so excited to share and celebrate our love story this January with all of our friends and family! We would be honored for each one of you to join us; and we are so thrilled to be starting our lives together as husband and wife!
We invite guests to dress in semi-formal to cocktail attire that’s comfortable for strolling through the gardens in the evening. While there won’t be a formal dance floor, guests are welcome to join us for a dance or two.
