Zack and Kristen matched on Facebook Dating the day after Thanksgiving and began talking frequently. They had their first date on December 3rd, 2020 at The Pit in Downtown Raleigh (Kristen's pick).

They both enjoyed dinner and when they finished eating, they didn't want the night to end because they enjoyed each others company so much - but the nearby Coffee/Chocolate cafe had closed!

So, with nowhere else to keep talking and with the sun going down, Zack walked Kristen back to her car safely, staying between her and the street - always such a gentleman!

When saying goodbye, Kristen gave Zack a kiss on the cheek and said she enjoyed the date. (Zack knew from that moment that she was "the one"!)

In the Summer of 2021, after going back and forth during weeknights and weekends amidst their busy work schedules, Zack and Kristen decided it was time to take their relationship to the next step and move in together!

By this time, they had met each others family, extended family, and even took a road trip to Nashville, TN. Their values couldn't have been more aligned, and they confidently made the decision to start their life under one roof in Raleigh!

On July 21, 2023, Zack got down on one knee and proposed. The engagement took place in a private setting and felt so special. Kristen said "Yes!!" :)

Prior to the engagement, Zack formally ask permission from Kristen's Dad, David, in advance, over dinner - again, always such a gentleman!

THE DATE: There is no significance to September 28th - the date of the wedding - but it felt right. We didn't want our guests to be too hot, and Kristen wanted to long runway to plan.

THE VENUE: After looking at all venues in Raleigh, there wasn't one that stood out. That's when Kristen's Mom, Terri, suggested to have the wedding at Landfall. It didn't take much convincing since Landfall is such a beautiful area.
