Matron of Honor - Friend of Bride

Tori and Kyla met 26 years ago, when their parents built houses next to each other in Stone Bank, Wisconsin. They were both going into 4th grade at the time. They immediately bonded over NSYNC, Britney Spears, and the Spice Girls, and spent many hours pretending that they were pop stars, giving concerts with their boomboxes at the local park. One of their favorite memories is when they met Britney Spears together, after winning backstage passes from a local radio station. They were so nervous they didn't even get a good photo of Britney! Even though Tori and Kyla have not lived in the same area for a lot of their college and adult life, their friendship has grown stronger over the years, through a lot of ups and downs. Tori and her husband Chase live in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, with their four children, Tyler, Bentley, Carson, and Remi. Tori works as an Optometric Technician, and with Kyla's eye phobia, this has put their friendship at risk many times!

Best Man - Friend of Groom

Mike and Mike met about 12 years ago, while they were both working at The Bergquist Company. They almost instantly discovered that they had similar tastes in music, comedy, and both loved motorsports, hockey, and baseball. Although Mike didn't remain at The Bergquist Company for more than a few years, and would eventually move to Long Island, their friendship never felt the distance. Mike and Mike have travelled a lot of the states together, whether for rallies, concerts, baseball games, hockey games, or just traveling to visit each other. They reconnect whenever they have a chance to, and pick up right where they left off. Mike now lives in Exeter, California, with his Wife, Maddy, and two daughters, Mila and Miranda.

Bridesmaid - Friend of Bride

Kyla and Becca's friendship was planned between Becca’s mom and Kyla, before they starting college at University of Wisconsin - River Falls. Kyla had visited Becca's mom’s horse farm in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, in her role as a vet assistant, and eventually met Becca at IHSA Horseback Riding Team tryouts. Kyla's first words to Becca were, “Your mom told me I was supposed to meet you!” They notably didn’t really like each other at first, but that wore off quickly and they have stayed friends ever since! A favorite memory from college was when they got pulled over on the way home from a basketball party and Becca told the police officer she only drank apple juice. Becca is a Wealth Management Advisor and lives in Apex, North Carolina with her husband, Brian, and their son, Eli, who is one of Kyla's Godchildren.

Groomsman - Brother of Groom

Brian is Mike's brother, and the oldest of the three Smith children. Growing up, Mike always wanted to be just like his brother, and he has great memories of going on family vacations and repeating movie lines with him. Brian works in IT and, until very recently, was also a worship leader at MidCurrent Church in Hudson, Wisconsin. He is married to Mike and Kyla's officiant, Sarah, and they have three girls, Amelia, Addie, and Delaney. He loves boating on the St. Croix, traveling to National Parks, and watching his girls perform in the River Falls Marching Band.

Bridesmaid - Friend of Bride

Brittany and Kyla met in college at University of Wisconsin - River Falls, in an animal science class, and have become even better friends as the years have gone on. They share a love of shopping and decorating, saving animals, going to concerts, and relaxing! One of their most memorable times together was when they went for, what they thought would be, a “low-key” kayak trip down the Kinnickinnic River, and it turned into the most thrilling and scary adventure of their life! They lost everything they brought on the trip, including Brittany’s phone and Kyla's paddle! It was a miracle they survived! Brittany lives in River Falls, Wisconsin with her husband Bob, their daughter Sami (Kyla's Goddaughter), and their newest addition, baby Nora. She has her own Animal Control business, serving both Minnesota and Wisconsin, and spends a lot of her time saving animals.

Groomsman - Nephew of Groom

Will is Mike's only nephew and the older child of Lisa and Ken, Mike's sister and brother-in-law. Mike loves spending time with Will and some of his favorite memories are vacationing with the Jepsen family and nights playing the board game, Ticket to Ride! Will is a junior at Eastridge High School in Woodbury, Minnesota, he is on the varsity swim team, and he recently completed his Eagle Scout! He is one of the kindest, smartest, funniest, most thoughtful kids you will ever meet! Mike is so proud to be able to have Will standing with him at his wedding!

Bridesmaid - Friend of Bride

Steph and Kyla have had the longest friendship, of any of Kyla's friendships, at nearly 36 years! They met as infants, and grew up together, at Grandma Evie’s daycare. Their families ended up taking a lot of family road trips together and they went to school together, all the way through high school. Their faith and friendship has always kept them close, even though they have not always been close in distance. One of their favorite memories to share as kids was at Grandma Evie's. Steph was threatening to run away into the cornfield and Grams always said, "If you go in there, you'll never come out!" Kyla started crying and ran inside to tell Grams, but when they came back outside, Steph was playing in the driveway like nothing ever happened! Steph lives in Hartland, Wisconsin, she leads the Young Adult Ministry program at her parish, and she also is a registered nurse.

Groomsman - Friend of Groom

Matt is one of Mike's oldest, and best, friends! They met in 2000, in high school, and have remained friends ever since! Matt and Mike have also lived, and worked together, at different times, during the last 25 years! Matt Joined the Army National Guard shortly after high school, served for eight years, and completed two tours in the Middle East. He completed his RN at Rasmussen College and works as an in-home care provider and patient supervisor. Matt has two children, Brooklyn and Easton, a German Shepard named Sadie, and lives in Hastings, Minnesota.

Bridesmaid- Friend of Bride

Andrea and Kyla met working for Purina Animal Nutrition as Minnesota based salespeople. They quickly bonded over their love for God, horses, haunted houses, shopping at Rachel’s Closet, nail appointments, and going to Luke Bryan's Farm Tours. One of their favorite memories is sharing a margarita with Luke Bryan himself! Andrea and her husband Rick own and operate a Performance Horse Training operation in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. Andrea now works as an Inside Sales Account Manager.

Groomsman - Friend of Groom

Mike and Duane worked together, everyday, from 2007 to 2017, at The Bergquist Company. Some of Mike's favorite, and funniest, memories are from his time working with Duane. Duane's sense of humor is so clever and unique, and a lot Mike's humor comes from his time working with Duane. Duane loves golfing, fishing, hiking, heading up north to the cabin, and spending time with his girlfriend, Shalane. He still works at The Bergquist Company, as a maintenance supervisor, and he has now been there for over 20 years! Duane lives in River Falls, Wisconsin.

Bridesmaid - Friend of Bride

Gina and Kyla met working for Purina Animal Nutrition when Kyla lived in Ixonia, Wisconsin and Gina worked as a Sales Specialist out of Illinois. They quickly discovered that they both loved horses, dogs, Jesus, and Hobby Lobby. It was true friendship after that! Gina and her husband Jake now live in Bell Buckle, Tennessee and run a Reining Horse Training Facility. Gina switched from feed sales to outdoor and resort sales as an Account Executive. Luckily, Kyla and Gina get to see each other at local horse shows or catch up when Kyla is traveling for work.

Groomsman - Friend of Groom

Connor is another one of Mike's friends from his time at The Bergquist Company. They worked together there, on the overnight shift, for a few years, before Connor moved out to Colorado. Mike made many trips out to Colorado to visit, and snowboard, with Connor, and he even helped him move out there in the first place! Connor met his wife, Sarah, in Colorado, but they have since moved back to Lakeland, Minnesota. Connor and Sarah also just welcomed their first baby, Rory, in September 2024!

Flower Girl - Friend of Bride

Remi is the six year old daughter of Tori (Kyla's Matron of Honor) and Chase Anderson. She loves jewelry, pretty dresses, and playing with her three brothers. She is such a joy to be around and is going to do an amazing job at the important role of Flower Girl!

Ring Bearer - Godson of Bride

Lincoln is the five year old son of Shanley and Evan Jaques. Shanley is a friend of Kyla's from college, and now a co-worker of hers, and Evan and Kyla went to the same high school. Lincoln is also one of Kyla's Godchildren. Lincoln is so excited to have the role of Ring Bearer and he is going to do such a great job!

Honor Attendant - Friend of Bride

Jackie and Kyla share a love of draft horses, especially Percherons, and have created an incredible friendship out of that initial love. Jackie has the greatest sense of humor, zest for life, and she has the most contagious personality. She and Kyla love to travel together, laugh, shop, sun bathe, and meet new Amish friends. Jackie and her husband, Kelvin, live in Adell, Wisconsin, and have two sons, Cody and Caleb, and a late daughter, Jodi, who Kyla loved so much, and who will forever be in our hearts.

Usher - Nephew of Bride

Nathan is one of Kyla's nephews and is the middle son of Mark & Julie Platter. He has a great sense of humor and will be sure to make you laugh as he escorts you down the aisle. He loves golfing and watching the Packers or Brewers. He recently graduated from Winona State University and now works as a Supply Chain Operations Manager. He lives in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Usher - Godson of Bride

Ty is one of Kyla's nephews he is and also her oldest Godchild. He is the son of Kyla's stepsister, Karen. Ty is a great, very hard working, young man. He graduated from Jefferson High School, lives in Jefferson, Wisconsin, and is a car Salesman in Oconomowoc, WI.

Officiant - Sister in Law of Groom

Sarah is Mike's sister-in-law, and the wife of his groomsman, and brother, Brian. Mike basically grew up with Sarah being a part of his life, as he has known her for almost 30 years, and Kyla met Sarah and the rest of the Brian Smith family when she started attending Midcurrent Church in 2023. Kyla and Sarah actually met before Kyla even knew about Mike! When she is not working, Sarah loves to thrift, read, puzzle, and spend time with her husband and three daughters, Amelia, Addie and Delaney. Sarah has a strong love and understanding of Jesus, and her energy is contagious. We could not think of a better person to officiate our wedding, and we know she is going to be a memorable part of our special day!
