Hello! It's the bride! I wanted to add mine and Tyler's story to the website for those that might not know it. It happens to be one of my favorites!
Tyler and I found one another through a dating website in August of 2023. No we are not proud of that but we are forever thankful as it led us to each other. We had our first date in September. We had planned to go bowling and have dinner afterwards. Anyone that knows Tyler Burge knows that he will try and talk his way out of anything. The whole day leading up to our date he kept trying to back out. He kept telling me that "we didn't have to go if I didn't want to." Typical Tyler behavior. Blaming it all on me. I finally put my foot down and said we were going. We met later that afternoon at the bowling alley, had a good time, lots of laughs, and ate Mexican afterwards. Tyler asked me to be his girlfriend on October 14th! Ever since then we have been living life together.
Tyler asked me to marry him on June 29th of 2024. We had only been dating for eight months. We both knew early on that we had found the one we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with. We hadn't been dating long at all when it was obvious to me. I never quite understood the saying "when you know, you know" until I met Tyler and now I completely understand! Tyler will tell you that he knew I was the one on our first date. I jokingly, but not so jokingly, tell him it's a good thing I convinced him to go!
I have always told Tyler that I want to do life with him. Anything from traveling and making memories to simple day-to-day tasks. We have certainly done just that in our relationship. In the short amount of time we have been together we have traveled, made memories, had lots of laughs, managed a long distance relationship, spent time with our families, and built a relationship I have always prayed for. We have also had our fair share of tears, disagreements, hard conversations, and challenges just like any other couple. The beauty is knowing you have found the one that will be there through it all with you no matter the situation.
We will be getting married on October 12th of 2024. Just two days shy of our one year dating anniversary. Neither one of us wanted to have a long engagement or a big wedding for that matter. What matters the most to us is living life and being together. We want to continue our story and our family so why wait! Besides, when you know, you know. We look forward to spending our wedding day with you. It means a lot to both of us to have our close friends and family with us on our day!
