Lainey and Edward met like every other couple does nowadays, on a dating app! Hinge to be exact. Edward had a prompt on his profile of "Two truths and a lie" and had listed the following:

I got a personal chef

I can do a standing backflip

I drive a Tesla

Apparently, his lie was the backflip 😂

Our first date was at a restaurant in Inverness, Florida, called Stumpknockers. Unbeknownst to Lainey, Edward isn't the biggest fan of seafood... which this restaurant is known for predominantly having. So, to make it up to him, Lainey bought all of Edward's drinks (Long Island Iced Teas - because they are "more bang for your buck" according to Edward) at the bar next door.

Edward asked Lainey one Saturday evening to get rid of those dating apps and make it official!

After dating for some time long distance (with Lainey in Ocala and Edward in Spring Hill - approximately 1 1/2 hours away from each other), Edward asked Lainey to move in.

Edward had been job hunting for a few months after graduating with his Bachelors. There was always the option of moving back to North Carolina to help the family business (Buzzed Viking), but it wasn't until now that he decided to pursue it. With that being said, Edward and Lainey made the decision to move up to North Carolina.

On a random Tuesday evening, Edward came home to Lainey starting dinner for the two of them. He walked into the kitchen, gave Lainey a bouquet of roses, and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Obviously, she said yes!
