The first time I saw Landon was at a Baptist Student Union Christmas Party. I remember seeing a tall, dark-haired guy and knew I had never seen him before. I joined his table and realized the guys were making Christmas cards. I didn’t know his name, but I thought Landon was really cute. I got him to show me how he cut out a proper paper snowflake, even though I definitely already knew how.

Fast-forward to my sophomore year at Ole Miss, and I started seeing Landon a lot more often. We both became a part of Kid's Club at the BSU, where college students go to an underprivileged neighborhood and play with the kids before telling them a Bible story. There are few things more endearing to me than watching a grown man spend hours every week connecting with sweet kids and teaching them about Jesus. As the weeks passed, we both started to show interest in the other. After Landon received a little assurance from a dear mutual friend that I shared the same feelings, he asked me out on our first date. I realized very early on that Landon was one of the kindest and most patient men I had ever met, and the rest, as they say, is history.
