Little did we know, this love story started back in 2009, where Adam and Laura went to high school together. Adam and Laura met during their freshmen year at Heights High School, and by junior year their friend groups had meshed into one. Many nights down at the river, hanging out and joking around in class together. Keep in mind they were just friends at this point. If you would have told Laura she was going to be married to Adam in 15 years she would have said “No freaking way!!” And if you were to tell Adam he was going to be married to Laura in 15 years he would have said “What in the hell did I do right in order to win this girl over!?”

Adam and Laura joke because there is a reoccurring Facebook post from 2011 where Adam posted on his page “I love lauraaa” & Laura responded with a “🤍” so even though Laura might not have seen it coming, we like to think their story really did start back in 2009!

Fast forward 10 years! Laura and Adam ran into each other one night and immediately reconnected, this was the start of something new! Adam and Laura kept in touch but Laura was pretty adamant that they were just friends. During their “just friends” phase they spent time together at a k-state football game, Cody Johnson concert, Halloween party, get togethers at the river and other various “friend” hangout nights. It wasn’t until Adam texted Laura asking her to go out to dinner, that Laura understood that maybe they weren’t just friends after all. Laura agreed to the date and after that they were inseparable.

Adam and Laura began hanging out any chance they could get. They spent time going to concerts, fishing, having picnics at the river, going out with friends, cooking dinner together, hosting parties and their favorite; traveling! They travelled all around from Colorado, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Indiana, New Mexico, Mexico and all over Kansas, building their relationship along the way.

Two and a half years later and they’re getting married! Laura and Adam were going down to Texas for Laura’s best friend’s baby shower when Adam decided it was the right time to pop the question. He wanted Laura to be surprised and to also be able to celebrate with her closest friends. Adam had perfectly arranged a plan to get Laura down to the River Walk, where he had a hidden photographer and a spot all set up to ask her to marry him. Running 30 minutes late, to a place neither of them had ever been before, he was finally able to get down on one knee and ask the big question, without any hesitation from Laura the answer was YES!

Which now brings us here, planning a wedding…whew! If you know Adam and Laura then you know last minute is their middle name. Planning a wedding in THREE months, holy moly! A lot to be done and a whole lot to look forward to. We cant wait for this big day and are incredibly grateful for all the love and support from our family and friends. Bring your party pants, we'll see you in July!
