If I chose to wear Indian clothing, where can I buy a Desi outfit?
If you do not have access to a desi clothing store, then the internet is your best friend. You can find Indian inspired clothing on Amazon and Etsy. To get more ideas on types of clothing styles we recommend checking out this website.

What is the Dress Code?
Haldi: Colors are yellow, and orange! Women typically wear kurtas, sarees, anarkali, lehenga choli, sharara suit or western dress. Men typically wear kurtas or business casual.
Sangeet + Mehendi: This is a colorful night for everyone to dress in bright colored clothes! Women often wear sarees and lehengas. Men typically wear kurtas or sherwanis. Business Casual or dress pants with a dress shirt and tie are also appropriate. The bride will be wearing periwinkle.
Ceremony: For Women, Indian attire (lehengas, salwar kameez, sarees, etc.), or a dress that covers the shoulders is appropriate. For Men kurta/sherwani or a suit with or without a tie is appropriate. Avoid black and white during the ceremony.
Reception: For Women, Indian attire (lehengas, anarkali, salwar suits, sarees, etc.) or Western formal dress. Men typically wear suits with a tie or sherwani. Bride will be wearing lilac.

What airports can I fly to?
The closest airports are Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) about 60 minutes from the venue and Toledo Express Airport (TOL) about 30 minutes from the venue.
Other Ohio cities to fly into are Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Dayton although these are 2+ hours away
What hotels are nearby?
Hilton Garden Inn is where a majority of the wedding events will take place. Levis Commons is an outdoor shopping mall that has a few other hotels including Home2Suites and Holiday Inn Express.
What is a Haldi?
The haldi is a prewedding ritual common at traditional Indian weddings. The family, relatives and friends come together on this auspicious occasion to apply turmeric paste (haldi) on the bride and groom's face and body.
What is a Sangeet +Mehndi?
Sangeet means music! It is a night of dancing and music with friends and family. It is essentially a party prior to the wedding ceremony. There will be dancing, along with food and drinks in an informal setting. During the sangeet, we will have a mehendi artist available, for those who would like to have it done. A mehendi ceremony where women have henna applied to the hands with intricate designs. Mehendi symbolized good luck, health and wealth.
What is a Baraat?
A Baraat is the groom’s procession into the wedding ceremony. The procession signifies an age-old tradition of the groom who would travel an average of five to seven days to his bride's home. Nowadays, the Baraat is done symbolically prior to the wedding with a procession, dancing and celebration.
What is a Telugu Ceremony?
The Telugu wedding ceremony (Pelli) comprises of a sequence of auspicious rituals and traditions usually lasting 2.5-3 hours.
