Q + A

How should I RSVP?

We hope that you can join us for our special day! Invitations will be sent via mail. The invitation will have information about RSVPs for our ceremony. You can RSVP here on the website, or by contacting Libby or Hunter. If you are traveling from a distance, please use this website as a guide to your time here in Gettysburg.

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Our wedding service will take place at the Church of the Abiding Presence on the United Lutheran Seminary campus, and a reception will follow at The Links at Gettysburg. Travel time between the ceremony and reception venue is 15-20 minutes.

Where Can I park?

The Chapel of the Abiding Presence and the Links at Gettysburg both have ample parking spaces. Both areas are also ADA accessible to meet any guest needs.

When Should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM. Please plan to arrive with enough time to park and find a seat in the chapel. Guests should be in their seats by 10:45 AM. Our reception will begin with a cocktail hour at 12:30 following the ceremony.

What should I wear?

Guests are asked to wear formal clothing ( think "Sunday best"). Suits, pantsuits, or nice dresses are good options. The chapel and reception venue will be heated to mitigate the chilly January weather.

Will dietary restrictions be met?

We are no strangers to allergies! Libby has a severe peanut and tree nut allergy, and we understand the importance of keeping you safe. Libby and Hunter will work with the chef to make sure that any dietary restrictions are met, and there is an option to include any dietary restrictions on the invitations.

Who can I bring with me?

While we love kids, we ask that only those named on the invitation attend the wedding ceremony and reception. If your children are listed on the invitation, please bring them! We will have some small activities at the venue for them to participate in. If your invitation says "and guest", please feel free to bring a plus-one. If not, we kindly ask that you come by yourself- and make some new friends as we celebrate!
