After meeting on New Year's Eve 2015, Mack and Amanda spent months texting almost nonstop. Finally, after seven months of talking and hanging out, Amanda made the first move. It only took one month to realize they both wanted to do long distance and thus began the journey.

Following a year of texting and endless FaceTime calls, they finally go on their first vacation together: 10 days in the hot, Florida summer with Amanda's family (and Mack having to sleep on an air mattress). After this, Amanda figured he must really like her.
