The summer of '17 Madi from Florida and Ryan from New Mexico decided to escape what they knew and traveled to the little town of Skagway, Alaska. Madi wanted to get out of Florida and venture west. Ryan wanted to do some big time backcountry snowboarding. Regardless of their reasons, they ended up living right across the yard from each other. Madi worked for the righteous Sockeye Cycle while Ryan worked for the infamous Alaska Mountain Guides.

They worked side by side without ever knowing it. Until one day Madi saw Ryan outside washing the AMG vans and Ryan saw Madi in her flashy pants and florescent jacket. They only silently admired one another from across the yard. Then all of a sudden, on June 22nd, the day before Ryan's 26th birthday, Madi found Ryan sitting at her kitchen table talking to her co-worker. Ryan instantly started talking Madi's ear off about Taos, sustainable living, UFO's and of course snowboarding. All the while Madi was just making lasagna. He left without forgetting to give Madi a big bear hug.

After that they kept bumping into each other, until finally Ryan said he wanted to go ride bikes. So Madi gave him her number and said to call her when he was free. After a whole week later they made plans. And on August 13th, 2017 their relationship started. They rode 25 miles down to the marsh towards their tour grounds and back. They talked, laughed and went to the Fire Department where Ryan volunteered. Ryan gave her a lengthy tour of the station and he made Madi dinner. They said goodbye to one another and ended their 7 hour first date. The rest is history.

After leaving Skagway, Alaska, they road tripped for 3 weeks! They met each others parents and moved to Idaho. Then after that they missed Alaska too much that they went to Juneau. Then after that they settled down in Summit County, Colorado where they remain for now. Until their next adventure...
